30 days Intercession for Your Offspring

Praying and interceding for your children (born and unborn) is of high and immense value especially long before they are critically and urgently needed. It serves to forestall a lot of undesired events, happenings, end results and accidents that could have brought about great pain and sorrow tomorrow by simply being diligent to do the needful today.

As a ministry, we take out the 30 days in September every year for this purpose and even lead the prayers online. Our “today” is revealing the results of our prayers yesterday and it is our firm belief that our “tomorrow” would reveal the results of our prayers today.

This booklet is not only for today’s parents but also for all who have the hope of becoming parents tomorrow. You can take it up at the beginning of any chosen month and pray through the entirety of the thirty days for your children (born & unborn).

For 30 days, there are prayer burdens in this book for each day, scriptures to pray with and prayer points to guide your praying. We believe that as we pray and pray ahead, the heavens would open and divine responses like a mighty river would come gushing down for us, our firstborns and all our children in Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

this Year's Burden

According to estimates by the United Nations, linked to the 2025 World Health Day theme, over two million newborns die within the first month of life each year, in addition to approximately two million stillbirths recorded annually. Globally, about 900,000 children and adolescents under the age of 18 die every year from unintentional injuries often described as “accidents”. These include road traffic crashes, drowning, burns, falls and poisoning, making injury a leading cause of death in this age group.

Unfortunately, no child is born saved from the damnation and doom the entire human race had been subjected to by default. All are born with the sinful nature inherited from Adam, with it’s many consequences, and can only be redeemed by personally opting for the salvation made possible by the precious blood of Jesus. In the light of today’s realities, for a child to be totally safe from all accidents, injuries, health hazards, infections, viruses, kidnappings, natural disasters, wars, and other threats throughout their formative years is nothing short of divine intervention. Such preservation is a miracle worthy of thanksgiving, knowing that not all of their peers would have made it as such.

Scripture revealed that the Lord Jesus had many escapes from injury and death from his birth until his appointed time of departure. For this cause, a woman by the name Anna was ‘detained’ in intercessions for many years. Simeon was kept from dying until his eyes beheld Jesus. Joseph was instructed to flee with the child to Egypt until those who sought his life were dead. Jesus Himself prayed with loud groans in order to be saved from premature death.
Mathew 2:13 “And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.”

Hebrews 5:7 [TPT] “Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;”

During His earthly ministry, Christ pleaded with God, praying with passion and tearful agony that God would spare him from premature death…This is both humbling and instructive.
Imagine! Jesus, the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Ghost and not born by the sinful seed of man, still required to be kept safe (physically) from all sorts of dangers-human and otherwise. His parents had to make timely and critical decisions that determined His survival. He also had to grow both physically and spiritually. If the Lord Jesus himself prayed like this in the days of his flesh, then the burden to intercede for our children cannot be optional. It definitely becomes a front burner reason for our 30Days Intercession for Your Offspring in this particular season: that our children will always be safe, genuinely saved and spiritually sound. Why would Jesus need to pray like this against premature death? Jesus? What if he didn’t pray?

Luke 1:80 “And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.”

Our children must not only be kept safe, but they must be saved with the salvation that Jesus purchased with His blood from sin, spiritual death and eternal damnation. They must operate on the bandwidth of faith, seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above principalities and powers, with their names firmly written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

It’s another time again to sit up and stand in the gap for the Anointed ones we have already received and would be receiving from the Lord. It is time to charge in prayers against the forces of barrenness that wants to keep back the birth of a John the Baptist. It is time to war in intercession against forces of sicknesses and diseases like Herod taking out the heads of our James in their youth. Like Anna, we will stand in intercession to insist that our offspring must be safely delivered. We stand in the gap so that our Peters will not be executed by the powers, systems, trends and pressures of Babylon.

This is a season to arise and labour in prayer with birth pangs for the anointed ones, most of whom now have to combat with so many forces of human psychological inventions and trends that are derailing their generation like a genocide. The God who kept Joseph from the pit to Portiphar’s house, from the prison to the palace, is the same God who kept Samuel safe and godly in the midst of Hophni & Phinehas (scoundrels). That same God will come for our own, hear our heart cries and keep them safe no matter the circumstances. They will remain strong, unbroken and unmoved by the winds that are bashing, scattering and destroying many of their contemporaries.

The promise is that in us and in our seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. This is why hell rages with such intensity, seeking to consume them through lust, deception and ultimately death. The gates of hell shall not prevail.

For thirty days, we will lift our voices in focused intercession, taking up diverse prayer burdens and settling the safety, salvation and spiritual soundness of these holy seeds on our knees. Who is ready to pray?

How To Use The Prayer Guide

As a ministry, we dedicate the entire month of September to praying for our offspring (born and unborn). This is because we understand the importance of prayers and intercessions especially long before they are critically demanded. It serves to forestall a lot of undesired events, happenings, end results and accidents that would bring about great pain and sorrow in the future. Looking at the way things are going in this age, sincerely, there is no option for any serious-minded progenitor (Father/Mother at present or to be) than to pray and pray ahead.

We have succeeded in cultivating this practice over the years such that even our children and young ones have started praying ahead for their own children. This booklet is not only for today’s parents but also for all who have the hope of becoming parents tomorrow. We believe everyone should start praying ahead for their own children “to be”.

Even though this 30 day prayer guide was initially made to be used in the month of September, it can be used at any point in time as led by the Holy Spirit. This is because the inclusive prayers would always be valid irrespective of any calendar period. We recommend a prayer burden per day, preferably taken by both parents, parents to be (for couples and engaged singles) and by every individual who has the desire of bringing a child to this world someday.

We also recommend that couples discuss alongside the burden of each day as it relates to their individual children and also use their Bibles to look deeper into the scriptural references backing each day’s prayer burden.  A minimum recommended prayer time of 10 minutes or more is advised for each day. We believe as we pray and pray ahead, the heavens would open and divine responses like a mighty river would come gushing down.

As you begin to pray, it is expected that the Lord would begin to say certain things into your spirit about these children (even the unborn); please, be careful to write those things down. They may be scriptures that pop up in your heart about them, songs, insights into dark secrets about them or clear-cut instructions that come in like a whisper into your heart. Please, note them down in places you can always refer to and take the appropriate (inspired) action where necessary.

As you use this prayer booklet and pray, kindly feel free to share your testimonies with us on testimony@schoolofvirtue.org

May the Lord hear you!
